Educational Visit by the ASEAN Delegation The New Frontiers and Care Economy Conference (CARECON) 2025

On the third day of the ASEAN Conference on the New Frontiers in the Care Economy, 50 delegates from ASEAN member states made an educational visit to Taman Sinar Harapan Tuanku Ampuan Najihah (TSHTAN) in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
TSHTAN, under Malaysia’s Department of Social Welfare (JKM), is a specialized institution providing care and rehabilitation for children and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The centre offers medical services, life skills training, and educational activities in a structured, supportive environment with strong contributions from volunteers and community partners.
During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on TSHTAN’s operations and toured the facilities to observe the services and environment provided for residents.
This engagement served as a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and potential collaboration, particularly in enhancing service delivery for vulnerable groups. It also aligns with regional efforts to address the challenges of an ageing population by 2030.

Pada hari ketiga Persidangan ASEAN mengenai The New Frontiers and Care Economy Conference (CARECON) 2025, seramai 50 peserta dari delegasi ASEAN telah mengadakan lawatan ke Taman Sinar Harapan Tuanku Ampuan Najihah (TSHTAN) di Seremban, Negeri Sembilan.
TSHTAN merupakan sebuah institusi di bawah Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) yang menyediakan penjagaan dan pemulihan kepada kanak-kanak serta individu yang mengalami ketidakupayaan intelektual dan perkembangan. Pusat ini menawarkan perkhidmatan perubatan, latihan kemahiran hidup, dan aktiviti pendidikan dalam persekitaran yang tersusun dan menyokong, dengan bantuan sukarelawan dan rakan komuniti.
Semasa lawatan tersebut, delegasi telah diberikan taklimat mengenai operasi pusat dan dibawa melawat kemudahan untuk meninjau suasana serta perkhidmatan yang disediakan kepada para penghuni.
Lawatan ini menjadi platform penting untuk kedua-dua pihak meneroka potensi kerjasama dan memperkukuh kualiti penyampaian perkhidmatan kepada kumpulan sasar, khususnya dalam menangani cabaran negara menua menjelang tahun 2030.
